As we worship together on Christmas day, we have the opportunity to celebrate Jesus' birthday.

Objects: the white candle, lighted, in an Advent wreath.

Here we are together again this morning. We were here together just last night. It was last night that we acted out the story of the night Jesus was born.

Who came to see Jesus? Right. The shepherds. The Wise Men. Were they happy to see Jesus?

What's the name of this special day today? Right again. See that white candle burning in the Advent wreath? That's a birthday candle. Whose birthday are we celebrating today? Right. Jesus' birthday.

We aren't usually together at church on Jesus' birthday, so we don't sing "Happy Birthday" to him, but today we can. I've asked [___] to play the birthday song through once on the organ and then I want everyone here in church today to sing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus. You may play now, [___].

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday, dear...
